200 Questions and Answers on Practical Civil Engineering Works
Posted by: Skylar In: general
The Institution of Civil Engineers has provided the book entitled “200 Questions and Answers on Practical Civil Engineering Works” by Vincent Chu free for download on their website. The book includes 12 sections focusing on the different types of civil engineering works, including: bridge works, drainage works, earthworks, roadworks, pumping stations, water retaining structures and more. The book is almost like an F.A.Q. for practical civil engineering, and is a welcome resource for engineers who may not have the vast spread of knowledge that Vincent Chu seems to have.
Keep in mind that the book is written by a civil engineer from Hong Kong, so you will find the odd answer that is less applicable to North American engineering (not to mention the odd grammatical error). However, the remainder of the technical content is quite applicable to civil engineers worldwide.
